The Grass Roots Left gets suckered again….by The Left
It doesn’t seem that long ago, (like maybe yesterday?) that liberals were firmly against corporate welfare. Aren’t they the ones who used to suggest that no one should vote Republican because it would be a vote for corporate welfare? Weren’t they the sanctimonious (insert word here) who looked down their noses and shook their little fingies at those of us who were so depraved as to vote for the party of corporations and old boy networks who used their high level connections to steal the taxpayer’s money? Shouldn’t they be the ones leading the charge and imploring others not to support an administration which is practically drowning in a sea of lobbiests, questionable persons, and corporate welfare of the worst sort? One really has to wonder if President Obama has ever seen a bankrupt company owned by a friend/donor which he doesn’t like.
I know that in the best of times it is difficult to find the leadership of the left and the notion of principle within shouting distance of each other, but at what point do those who occupy the lower levels finally say enough is enough. Not only does the President seem bound and determined to distribute massive amounts of taxpayer money to his friends, but he also seems to have the incredible knack of choosing those “investments” which will end up costing the taxpayers the most money. If there is going to be corporate welfare, shouldn’t we at least get something out of it? Like maybe a job or two?
Even if you are a “greenie” or maybe just half way interested in solar power, which I am, can you really feel good about “going left” and supporting this wave of corporate welfare and apparent corruption at the highest levels? Next time someone from the left starts complaining about corporate welfare in an attempt to attack a real conservative, I suggest you be nice, speak softly, and call a mental health professional as soon as humanly possible.

Well, okay, maybe Obama’s not such a great investor after all. But he’s definitely the most well-funded investor in the world, and he’s got you to thank for it, taxpayer. Or, given that he’s throwing a trillion dollars of deficit money around every year, your children. They’ll be paying the bills for all this, plus a few billion dollars of interest. But at least they’ll get to enjoy an economy that’s “built to last!”

(not to reader...that's sarcasm, in case you missed it)
I’m sure there’s a total around somewhere, but I just can’t seem to find it at the moment. There's also lots more where that came from, but do I really have to beat a dead horse? The point is, memo to the left, don’t embarrass yourself by talking about corporate welfare. In fact, I’m not sure if I would keep inviting comparisons with Romney. Run along, you’ve had your fun, now can we please get on with turning around the economy? Thanks.
